My mission is to help amplify the voices of women and girls who are marginalised by their by neurodivergence and gender. A fierce advocate for empowering and educating others to improve awareness and knowledge of neurodiversity, and how it can present and impact their lives in more subtle and different ways.
Reduce women’s health inequalities by quashing taboos and sharing our lived experience.
Using my wealth of lived experience, as well as knowledge and leadership skills from over a decade of working with women, children and families as a former mental health nurse and health visitor, working with campaigners to enhance the lives, well-being and long-term outcomes for those with autism, learning disabilities and ADHD.
Having blogged for almost two years, thus created a safe space for parent carers and neurodivergent individuals and professionals; sharing snippets of our neurodivergent family life, to being shortlisted for a ‘positive role model for gender’ award at the National Diversity Awards 2024 - I am currently writing my first memoir and my experience of receiving my daughter’s life-changing diagnosis of severe autism, learning disability and a rare genetic condition.
Working collaboratively with health, education, local authorities and businesses to create I&D and diversity-informed environments.
I have also been nominated for a National Diversity Award: Positive Role Model Award for Gender. Find out more here
